General Information

Mission

The Family Court seeks to attain maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the management and disposal of the court’s caseload through the application of the rule of law.

Vision

To provide timely and efficient redress in family matters of adoption, maintenance, custody and Domestic Violence.  To efficiently adjudicate and dispose of Criminal Matters coming before the Family Court and to promote the Administration of justice for all through an efficient and effective support system.

Aims and Objectives

  • To maintain an efficient system of judicial administration through competent and reliable support services to the  Court and its litigants.
  • To perform all duties required for the execution of the orders of the Court.
  • To provide a comfortable legal environment for individuals families, juveniles and children.

The Administrative Staff

The President of the Family Court heads the Department.  There is an Executive Officer; who is responsible for the supervision of the staff and for the performance of Administrative duties.  The main function of the administrative staff is to ensure that the Court is run efficiently and effectively.
